PhonePay, Nepal's leading payment system operator, has officially welcomed CitiPay as the tenth digital wallet integrated into its ecosystem. This achievement reinforces PhonePay's vision to build a smooth, secure and inclusive digital payment environment in Nepal.
Through the partnership, CityPay wallet users will now have access to PhonePay's nationwide interoperable QR network. Under which they can make payments at more than 1.7 million merchant outlets across the country.
Currently PhonePay network connects more than 60 banks and financial institutions. This network, which includes an increasing number of wallet partners, has been providing safe and instant digital transactions to millions of users.
By welcoming CitiPay, PhonePay has strengthened its role in further strengthening financial inclusion and promoting cashless transactions across Nepal.

To make this important partnership special, CityPay has announced a festive campaign for its customers based on QR transactions through the PhonePay network. From September 2 to November 2, 2025, every transaction CitiPay Wallet users make through the platform will automatically entitle them to a lucky draw. Two winners will receive two Samsung brand televisions throughout the campaign period. Winners will be announced monthly.
Moreover, Citipay has announced that it will provide 20 reward points on every QR transaction above Rs 500. According to the company's policy, those points can be converted into cash or goods by the beneficiary.
