Shikhar Insurance has released a new health insurance plan 'Shikhar Swasthya Suraksha'. The program was formally launched at Medicity Hospital.

In the context of the current health insurance plan available in Nepal, only a limited amount of coverage is available, the company has stated that it will be a suitable option as Shikhar Health Insurance provides insurance facilities of up to 20 lakh rupees in view of the increasing treatment expenses
You can get cashless health care by being admitted to a hospital affiliated with Shikhar Insurance. It has been arranged that 10 percent of the sum insured (up to a maximum of 1 lakh rupees) can be claimed for external treatment expenses. Under the cashless healthcare service, the insured does not have to pay the expenses himself when admitted to the hospital and treated. Arrangements have been made for Shikhar Insurance to pay the expenses directly to the hospital,'' the statement issued by the company states.
Under this plan, the insurance will cover the pre-hospitalization up to 30 days and the post-hospitalization up to 60 days. In addition, the company said that more than 150 day-care treatments performed without hospitalization and hospitalization treatment of newborns will also be covered under this.
