Shruti Shrestha of Premier International IB Continuum School has become the first student of Nepal to be named in the 'Hall of Fame' after achieving historic success in the World Scholars Cup.
Premier's 10-member team won 9 gold and 39 silver medals in the global round of the World Scholars Cup 2025 held in Bangkok, Thailand and secured a place in the Tournament of Champions to be held at Yale University in America.
Class 11's Shruti also won the 'Global Champion Scholar' and 'JAC Khor Award'. She won 11 gold and 4 silver medals individually. Other members of the team also performed brilliantly. Garima Ranjith won 1 gold, 7 silver; Sanvi Upadhyay won 1 gold, 4 silver; Culture Officer 1 gold, 3 silver; Bianca Pal 1 gold, 4 silver; Mantra Pokharel won 2 golds, 6 silvers; And Suprina Ami Adhikari bagged 1 Gold, 4 Silver.
Competing among more than 5,200 students from 30 countries, the school said that the premier team made Nepal proud at the international level. According to
schools, the World Scholars Cup develops students' leadership, critical thinking and global citizenship skills through activities such as debate, creative writing, team problem solving and knowledge competitions.
