Educational consulting organization Alpha Beta has launched the 'Edu Kickoff' futsal tournament with competition between 16 schools. The tournament, organized with the aim of bringing education and extracurricular activities together, will be held on August 3rd and 4th at Surya Futsal, Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu.
On August 13, a 'tie-sit draw' was held to decide the match schedule. Captains and coaches of participating schools were present in the event. According to the organisers, the tournament will provide an opportunity for students to showcase their talent in sports along with developing teamwork, discipline and leadership skills.
The first place team in the two-day competition will get a trophy, medal and certificate along with 60,000 rupees. The second runner-up will receive a trophy, medal and certificate along with Rs 30,000. The best player, goalkeeper and top scorer will get a certificate with five thousand rupees each.
Dwiraj Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Beta, described the 'Edu Kickoff' as a celebration of talent, energy and healthy competition. The competition is being organized in collaboration with Webster University, Avila University, Shikhar Insurance, Kibu Energy Drinks, Alpha Care, Pearson and Siddharth Bank.
