Payment System Operator (PSO) PhonePay has received Level 1 certification of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), a payment security standard.

 This certificate reflects PhonePay's strong commitment to ensure the highest level of security in all transactions through its network, the company said in a statement.

The company claims that it has strengthened the trust of users, partner banks and financial institutions and regulatory bodies. "PCI DSS Level 1 is the highest level of international recognition of payment card data security, which requires a serious technical structure, policy and monitoring system to comply with," said the statement, "PhonePay receiving this certificate shows the investment and commitment of the company to keep the cardholder's data safe and strengthen the security infrastructure."
