Nepal Life Insurance has provided financial support of 1 crore rupees to Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH) to construct a hospital building in Kathmandu. This support is provided financially under the corporate social responsibility of the company.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between Nepal Life and Keoch in an event held at Kioch's office. In the memorandum of understanding, the founding president of Kioch Dr. Signed by Bhagwan Koirala and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Life, Praveen Raman Parajuli.
The construction of Kioch-Kathmandu, a multi-specialty children's hospital as a 'hub' hospital in Budhanilkanth Municipality-7, has reached its final stage. Even though the main building of the hospital is still under construction, a 'Clinical Research Building' has been constructed and put into operation to provide services to children and to carry out research related to child health and non-communicable diseases.
Nepal Life CEO Parajuli informed that the company is conducting various programs for social, economic, educational and cultural transformation under the corporate social responsibility.
'With this support for children's health treatment, children with weak financial status will be able to get the services of special doctors,' he said.
Kioch's founding president Dr. Koirala said that the project has gained more momentum with the support of Nepal Life and said, 'Cooperating with a dignified and big brand like Nepal Life has increased the dignity of Kioch and given more encouragement to work.'
