Brajeshwari Industries, a baby diaper manufacturer, has received the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certificate. The company claims to be the first Nepali baby hygiene to get BIS certificate.
SP Dhakal, chairman of Brajeshwari Group, which was established in 2019 with an investment of around 60 million rupees, said. The company has been continuously investing in modern technology, high-quality raw materials, and world-class production methods.
is producing baby diapers under 'Nano' and 'Tender Touch' brands. After India made BIS certificate mandatory for imported baby hygiene products, the export process has been stopped for the last 6 months.
The company claims to have got the certificate despite BIS standards and high rejection rate. "We are proud that we have received the BIS certificate after strict testing and following all the rules," he said, "This is a new chapter not only for our company but for the entire Nepali manufacturing industry." The company said that diapers worth more than 50 million rupees will be exported to India next year.
