Global IME Bank Limited has released 'Paddy Farming Loan' on the occasion of National Paddy Day.
In the government's budget statement for the financial year 2082/83, the bank has said that the loan scheme has been announced with the aim of supporting the strategy of making the country self-sufficient in rice in the next 2 years. Under the
scheme, farmers will get a loan of up to 20 lakh rupees to purchase rice seeds, chemical and organic fertilizers, agricultural equipment and other necessary agricultural materials.
Surendraraj Regmi, chief executive officer of the bank, said that this loan will encourage farmers to cultivate rice and also help in increasing the production of rice.
