Zonta Club Kathmandu has conducted tree planting campaign in collaboration with Jane Goodall Institute Nepal. According to the club, this campaign aims to raise awareness of the interrelationship between climate change and gender inequality.
On the occasion of World Environment Day, the club planted trees. On this occasion, the club has informed that more than 165 trees have been planted in a program organized at Dhungedhara in Lalitpur.
The campaign was completed under the leadership of Zonta Club Kathmandu's 'Gender Equality Climate Action' coordinator Luja Mathema. Likewise, the campaign was completed under the coordination of 'Gender Equality and Social Inclusion' coordinator Malika Rana.
