Chetprasad Upreti, executive director of Nepal Rastra Bank, has been appointed as the chairman of the board of directors of Nepal Clearing House Limited.

During a formal program held on May 8, Upreti took the oath of office and secrecy with Deputy Governor Bam Bahadur Mishra. Earlier, the executive director was Vishrut Thapa. 

Upreti has more than 27 years of experience working in various departments of the Central Bank. Upreti, who holds an MBA from Tribhuvan University, is the Executive Director of Non-Bank Financial Institutions Supervision Department of Rashtra Bank.
