The government has given Lifetime Achievement Award to industrialist Ram Kumar Rathi, who has been contributing to Chia plantation, processing, marketing and export for the past 6 decades.
Industrialist Rathi was given an award by the National Tea and Coffee Development Board on the occasion of the 29th National Tea Day.
Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister and Chairman of the Board Ramnath Adhikari and Executive Director of the Board Findraraj Pandey presented Rathi with a certificate of honor.
Rathi is also Nepal's first tea tester. He has done Masters in Testing Plantation and Manufacturing.
When he went to China at the age of 25, he was attracted to this area after seeing the tea tasting there.
