Ncell said that since its inception to 2080/81, it has paid more than Rs 340 billion in taxes and duties to the government under various taxes and duties. For this, Ncell has been honored as the taxpayer paying the highest income tax from the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.

Ncell was honored on the occasion of the 8th National Information and Communication Technology Day 2082 held in Kathmandu on May 19. For the development and promotion of ICT, May 2 is being celebrated as 'National Information and Communication Technology Day' every year.

On this occasion, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli presented a certificate of appreciation to Poonam Singh, Marketing, Communications and Sustainability Director of Ncell. In the last fiscal year 2080/81, Ncell has been honored for its special contribution to the nation by paying the most taxes in the field of information and communication technology.
