Food Technology and Quality Control Office, Nepalgunj, has awarded Hotel Siddharth with the logo and sticker of 'Excellent' based on the scores obtained in 'Cleanliness Grading'. The office has given the grading logo and sticker for the first time based on food hygiene.
Prashant Pokharel, Head of Office of Food Technology and Quality Control Office, Nepalgunj, reached the hotel on Wednesday and pasted the sticker and handed over the classification certificate. In the evaluation, the hotel was awarded the best (three star) sticker.
'The hotels were monitored based on the indicators mentioned in the guidelines for classifying hotels and restaurants on the basis of food hygiene-2074 issued by the department. Based on
scores, there is a provision to provide green stickers with logos for excellent, excellent, satisfactory categories and yellow stickers for normal levels.
When the classification was done for the first time, it was found that everyone was not well aware of all the 50 indicators in the directory,' said Pokharel, the head of the office, 'Now we have created a situation where consumers can eat food with confidence even after looking at the classification logo and certificate provided by us.' The
office said that the three hotels that were included in the evaluation in the first phase have been included. The
directory has arranged that you can do a 'self-audit' to see if you can complete all the indicators.
