During the recently concluded 6th BIMSTEC Summit and the visit of the Prime Minister of Nepal to Thailand, there was an important informal meeting between the Thai and Nepali representatives of the famous energy drink brand Red Bull and the government side.

At a dinner organized by the Nepali Embassy in Thailand, Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba, Chief Executive Officer of Red Bull's parent company TCP Group Sarbhut Yuvidhya and Managing Director of Red Bull's licensee Saras Beverages in Nepal, Surendra Silwal, met.

In the meeting, Silwal and Yuvidhya informed Prime Minister Oli and Minister of Foreign Affairs Deuba that the Red Bull brand has become a successful example of cooperation between Thailand and Nepal and informed them that the Red Bull brand, known worldwide for its unique taste and quality, is also very popular among Nepalese consumers.

Informing that Red Bull's factory located in Amrapuri, Nepal is the fifth factory in the world and more than half of the energy required for production is generated by solar technology, Silwal and Yuvidhya informed that they were able to adopt an environmentally friendly factory. At present, the factory in Nepal employs more than 400 people and they told the plan to create more jobs by expanding the factory by investing an additional 2 million US dollars.

It has been informed that Saras Beverages is doing its homework to bring new products to the Nepali market and export to the neighboring countries India and Bangladesh. Currently, Saras Beverages in Nepal has been paying more than 1 billion in taxes to the Nepalese government from the business of Red Bull.
