Cymex BYD Charity Foundation (CBCF), operated under Cymex Inc., the official distributor of BYD vehicles in Nepal, has officially announced the 'CBCF Project Dolphin' on the occasion of World Aquatic Animal Day.
The project, which was announced at a special event held at the Patan Museum, focuses on the protection of the critically endangered Ganga river dolphins in Nepal. Keeping in mind the number of dolphins, the project aims to protect the biodiversity of clean water and the local community at the same time, the company said.
The number of these dolphins is less than 3,500 in the world and according to a survey conducted in 2016, there are only 52 dolphins, 43 in the Karnali River and 9 in the Koshi River in Nepal.
