More than 31,000 people have seen the 26th Flora Expo at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu since Friday till the second day.
A turnover of more than 58 lakh rupees was done at the expo. According to the Floriculture Association Nepal (FAN), the target of 60,000 visitors to the flower fair and a turnover of more than one crore rupees has been taken. The fair under the slogan 'Flower business for clean environment and economic prosperity' will continue till next Monday.
There are a total of 83 stalls including 67 commercial stalls, 1 landscaping stall, 10 official stalls, 2 competitive exhibitions and 3 food stalls. Rajesh Bhakta Shrestha, president of the association, said that since the crowd of viewers is increasing, they believe that there will be more than 10 million transactions. An entry fee of Rs 150 for general public and Rs 100 for students has been fixed to visit the fair.
According to the association, free entry has been arranged for senior citizens.
