An agreement has been signed between the National Commercial Bank and the Sinja Rural Municipality of Jumla to run the 'Kisan Saral Karja' program.
Devendraraman Khanal, chief executive officer of the bank, and Purna Bahadur Dhital, chairman of the rural municipality, signed the agreement during a ceremony held on Monday. After the
agreement, Nepali citizens between the ages of 18 and 65 who are involved in any agricultural business and legally registered firms and companies involved in agricultural business can apply for loans with the recommendation of the rural municipality.
According to the Agricultural Loan Directory, 2069 (with amendments), the loan will be of both periodic and current capital nature, according to the bank. The bank said that this loan will be provided for a maximum of 10 years with a grace period and the loan will be invested up to a maximum of 10 lakh rupees.
