Honor of Yeti Distillery to Paubha artist Shrestha

Yeti Distillery Pvt Ltd has honored the internationally renowned Paubha artist Samundraman Singh Shrestha.

Yeti Distillery has honored Shrestha for his contribution to the preservation of Nepali traditional art and its promotion at the global level. Born in Raktakali, Kathmandu in 1980, Shrestha started his formal art training at the age of 14. He is considered to be excellent in visual depiction of gods and goddesses and cultural stories by mixing the traditional Newari Pauba painting method with contemporary style.

Shrestha's artwork 'The Mythical Creatures' is a tribute to the rich art and cultural heritage of Nepal, the company said through a press release. 

'This artwork celebrates Nepal's rich artistic heritage by depicting symbolic and supernatural creatures from both the animate and inanimate worlds,' says Shrestha, 'This artwork pays homage to revered figures such as the peacock, Shwetshardul, Nilshardul and also integrates the five elements such as earth, water, fire, air (represented by clouds) and sky (pictured on a dark background).' award ceremony, Yeti Distillery's Managing Director Abhishek Shrestha reiterated the company's commitment to support Nepali artists and protect cultural heritage. He said, "While honoring Samundraji today, we are not only appreciating his extraordinary talent, we have also reiterated our commitment to showcase the cultural identity of Nepal at the global level." His art, the high level of respect shown by both the community and the general public is a testament to the artistic heritage of our nation.'
