The first regional meeting of ZONTA Kathmandu Region-2 with the slogan 'Breaking barriers - Transforming lives' has been completed. More than 22 Jontians from Bangladesh and 56 from Nepal were present in the meeting.
The meeting highlighted the zonta's values towards empowerment, education, and advocacy of women and girls .Zontian Regional Director Meera Jyoti presided over the meeting .
Participating clubs have reviewed their activities and reiterated their commitment to meaningful change . In addition, the importance of sustainable action and environmental responsibility is highlighted in support of Zonta International's climate justice goals . The meeting also acknowledged the important role of women for the safety of future generations. The
meeting was attended by the then District Governor Jontian Srijana Rana, District Treasurer Jontian Khadija Afzal, District Secretary Jontian Anija Chaudhary, Sub Region 2 Director Jontian Zahida Khatun, as well as various committee chairpersons, co-chairmen, and club presidents of District 25. In the
program, Manshi Pandit of Zonta Club Kathmandu was awarded Zonta International Jane M. The Klausman Women in Business Scholarship is awarded .
