The 'Governance Fellowship 2025' organized jointly by Project Abhay and Civil Outlook has been successfully completed. In this program, which was conducted from January 10 to 25, 67 participants from 22 districts across the country received training and interaction on issues such as good governance, access to justice, gender equality, transparency, and citizen participation.
The fellowship was divided into different phases and training was imparted to the participants. Former National Coordinator of Youth Congress Nepal Sachin Timalsena gave training on "Foundations of Governance" and Ashish Regmi, Executive Head of Institute of Policy Studies and Research, shared his experience on "Legislation and Policy Making". Shreya Sanjel, an officer of the Supreme Court, gave training on judicial procedure in the
program. MP and former Education Minister Shishir Khanal interacted with the participants on inclusive governance and responsibility. In the next session of
fellowship, Dr. who has long experience in the field of federal parliament and trade union. Binda Pandey gave training on Feminist Politics and Grassroots Campaigns. Similarly, Milan Pandey, a member of Viveksheel Saha Party and author, provided training in terms of civic participation and social responsibility. Speaking about the success of the
program, Ishika Pant, founder of Project Abhay, said, 'We always believe that real change starts with youth empowerment. This fellowship will equip young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to inspire them to lead with purpose.'
Civil Outlook President Regina Basnet said, 'Our organization always wants to educate the youth on issues like law, good governance and digital literacy. Collaboration with Project Abhay has strengthened our common goal.'
During this three-week fellowship period, interactive exercises, case studies and group discussions provided the participants with more knowledge about the importance of good governance, law-making process, responsibilities and judicial access, the organizers informed.
