Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has said that if there is a favorable business environment and economic activity, revenue will automatically increase.
On the occasion of the 73rd International Customs Day, Chairman Dhakal said in a program organized by the Customs Department in Kathmandu on Sunday that rather than setting annual and monthly targets for revenue collection, the government's activities will increase by focusing on creating a clean business-friendly environment.
He said that even if automatic data exchange can be achieved through bilateral agreements with the main countries where foreign trade is carried out to control illegal trade, problems such as under- and over-digitization and classification at the customs office can be reduced to a large extent.
