Claiming that the government is indifferent to the problems of the construction industry, the businessmen have put forward a 14-point demand and warned of a protest. In a press conference organized by the Federation of Nepal Construction Professionals on Wednesday, he claimed that there is a problem in working due to the rampant price increase of construction materials and cartelization.
During the construction season, the businessmen said that the businessmen are in trouble due to the lack of payment and the sharp increase in the price of construction materials such as cement and sand by open cartelization and black market.
'Legal complications related to the extension of the deadline seen in the 13th amendment of the Public Procurement Regulations, reduction of facilities given to construction professionals by the National Bank, cancellation of projects that are sick due to various reasons, literal implementation of previous agreements, infrastructure-friendly laws, discouragement of low bids,' the Federation made 14 points. In the statement issued with the demand, it is said, 'easy availability of construction materials, excesses of regulatory bodies including the Accountant General, Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority and the problem of insurance. We demand the formation of a construction commission for a solution.'
