'One Billion Rising' campaign has been launched in Kathmandu to stop violence against women. Voice for Equality Nepal (SKLA) organized a program at the Central Education Department of Tribhuvan University on Saturday and said that the campaign has started in Nepal this year.
This is a global campaign. SKLA says that out of 7 billion people in the world, one billion people are women and the campaign was started to stop violence against them. It is said that the organization will address the violence against not only women but also the transgender community.
