The Buddha gave the compensation amount to Vriddhasram and Gangasagar

Buddha Air has handed over the compensation paid by the two passengers who opened the emergency door of the plane in Tarkhar to an old age home in Pokhara and Mahaganga Aarti Gangasagar in Janakpur.

Buddha Air spokesperson Dipendra Karna said that a passenger opened the emergency door for no reason on the Buddha Air ATR plane flying from Pokhara to Kathmandu on Wednesday. Due to the emergency doors being opened, the 3 pm flight left for Kathmandu 3 hours late.

Those passengers who opened the emergency door were handed over by Buddha Air to the police at Rohwar of Pokhara Regional Airport. In the Civil Aviation (Civil Aviation) Act, 2015, anyone who disturbs an air flight is punishable by imprisonment for 1 to 3 years depending on the nature of the offense and up to life imprisonment depending on the nature of the crime.

Buddha's Pokhara station chief Gautam Baral handed over the amount paid by passengers for compensation to Pokhara Old Age Home at Sitapaila in Pokhara on Thursday for the support of dependent senior citizens. On October 15, a passenger opened the emergency door in the parking way of the plane which had reached Biratnagar due to bad weather.

In that incident too, those passengers paid 1 lakh rupees as compensation. Buddha's Janakpur Station Chief Vijay Prasad Singh handed over the amount to Mahaganga Aarti Gangasagar in Janakpur on Thursday.
