The Nepal Chamber of Commerce has advised the newly appointed ambassadors to make economic diplomacy a top priority.
In the welcome and introductory program held at the Chamber Building in Jamal, Kathmandu, the ambassadors of various countries were asked to give priority to economic diplomacy through the facilitation of exports and investment in Nepal. Chamber President Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal said that economic diplomacy is important for the sustainable economic development and growth of Nepal.
President Agarwal asked the Ambassador to send a message to the world community that the investment environment in Nepal is good. He also requested to take initiative for BTB meeting and bilateral agreements for investment and trade facilitation with the respective countries. In the program, the ambassadors of different countries pledged to cooperate with the private sector of the country they represent. In the
event, the newly appointed ambassador for Belgium, Seva Lamsal, Chitralekha Yadav for Australia, Sumnima Tuladhar for Denmark, Jung Bahadur Chauhan for Russia and Kapilman Shrestha for South Africa, Ambassador Prakashmani Poudel for Portugal, Purna Bahadur Nepali for Sri Lanka, Netra Prasad Timsina for Malaysia and Spain Ambassador Sanil Nepal was present.
