Students have surrounded the District Administration Office (CDO) in Siraha against the incident of destroying mobile phones seized during exams. Organized by the United Students' Organization, students have surrounded the District Administration Office in Siraha headquarters on Monday.
They have demanded compensation for the students whose mobile phones were destroyed and action be taken against the government officials involved in this decision. 
A sub-committee under the Examination Coordination Committee led by the Chief District Officer had destroyed around 496 mobile phones and 5 smart watches seized from the examinees during the SEE and Grade 12 exams by immersing them in water last Thursday. The estimated market value of these items is more than one crore rupees.x
