Devchandra Mukhiya, 35, of Sakarpura, Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality-3, Saptari, who lost his limbs in a robbery and is facing financial hardship, has received financial assistance. Dilip Kumar Mukhiya of Ward No. 4 Koiladi of the same municipality and Santosh Mukhiya of the same place, who works at Ecometrics of Company in Malaysia, have provided Devchandra with Rs 60,000 in assistance.
Devchandra, who lost his limbs in a robbery while returning from a foreign employment, has received the said amount from people here and in Malaysia for his treatment expenses, Dilip Kumar said. Dilip Kumar, who is also an employee of the Nepal government, reached Devchandra's house and handed it over.
Devchandra, who had arrived from Kathmandu to Lahan in Siraha by microbus on Magh 2, was robbed at Sakhuwanankarkatti Rural Municipality-5 on the Lahan-Thadi road section. Devchandra says that while he was returning home after 'reserving' at night, the tempo driver and two others robbed him of his right hand and leg.
