Democratic Socialist Party (LOSP) leader Jitendra Prasad Sonar (Sonal) has been appointed as the chief minister of Madhesh state government.
In accordance with Article 168 of the Constitution of Nepal, Chief Minister Sumitra Subedi Bhandari appointed Sonal as Chief Minister on Wednesday evening.
With the support of 6 parties, Sonal submitted a claim for Chief Minister at the provincial head office with the signatures of 57 state assembly members. Krishna Prasad Yadav also submitted another claim in the Congress.
