Office assistant Radheshyam Paswan has not been able to attend for one and a half years because he refused to work in the principal's farm. But the rural municipality has started the process to take action against the principal of another school.
Salary and allowance of office assistant Paswan has been stopped for one and a half years due to the bullying of Baleshwar Yadav, principal of Janata Basic School Belhi located in Balan Bihul Rural Municipality-4 of Saptari. However, village chairman Khemchandra Yadav has asked Ram Vilas Mandal, the principal of National Basic School Belhi, for an explanation last Sunday. Clarification has been asked to the Board to submit a reply within two days of receiving the
letter. "What are the reasons why Kas Paswan, who was transferred and sent, was not made to appear? Please submit a satisfactory answer." The rural municipality also transferred Paswan's job to Salhesh Dalit National Basic School on 26 November 2008 because he had to attend the same school where there was a vacancy. However, since there was already an office assistant, Paswan was not made to appear.
Rural Municipality transferred Paswan to National Basic School Belhi again on 13th December 2008. An explanation has been asked from the principal who did not appear there. "Since we had already placed Ramchandra Mukhiya in Kasa two and a half years ago, I could not make Paswan appear at that time, otherwise I would have made him appear," Pra Mandal said to Kantipur, "Here only ethnic issues get priority, I have been asked to ask for an explanation from Pra Yadav who did the bullying."
Rural Municipality Chairman Yadav said that he will proceed with the further process after receiving the answer to the clarification. "We will also ask Prof. Yadav, let his answer come first," he said.
