Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar has directed to conduct a detailed investigation into the sexual abuse and death of 24-year-old Anandidevi Sadaya of Navrajpur rural municipality-3 Donwari tol of Siraha. The Home Minister has instructed the Nepal Police to investigate the incident.
According to the Home Minister's Secretariat, he called Nepal Police IGP Deepak Thapa on Wednesday morning to inquire about the matter. During this, he directed to find out the truth of the incident and bring the culprits to justice.
Saday was found dead in her house at 3 o'clock in the afternoon . Before that, on December 9, 22-year-old Sanjeev Kumar Yadav and 32-year-old Shyamsunder Yadav of the village attempted to gang-rape her. However, the victim filed a complaint at the local police office, Maheshpur Patar on the same day, but instead of taking legal action against them, the police pressured them to cooperate.
When the police did not listen, after the victim's family prepared to go to the media, their complaint was registered on February 25 after one and a half months. However, even though the case was registered, the police refused to arrest the accused.
