'Helpdesk' has become a helper for Parikrama passengers

In the joint project of Nepal-India Open Border Dialogue Group and Cloth Bank Nepal, a help desk has been operated keeping in mind the health and convenience of devotees, saints and all travelers under the circumambulation of Mithila Madhyam.

According to program coordinator Deepak Yadav, Dhanushadham of Dhanusha district, which has historical and mythological significance, where a piece of Shivaji's bow broken by Lord Ramchandra during Sita's Swayamvar is believed to be still alive, the help desk has been operated because the monks and saints stay at that place on the ninth day of Parikrama.

Parikrama started from Thera Kachuri (Dhanusha) in central Mithila and passed through India's Kalyaneshwar Girijasthan, staying at five places in Mahottari district and entered Dhanusha again. 

Manish Shriom, secretary of Cloth Bank, said that it is a tradition to complete inter-house circumambulation at Janakpurdham after staying at Satoshar on Sunday, Aurhi and Hausaha on Monday and visiting Kalyaneshwar Mahadev again.

Mithila Madhyama Parikrama, traditionally held every year, carries deep spiritual and cultural significance for Hindus. It works to promote religious tourism and further strengthen the cultural relationship between Nepal and India.

Talking about the benefits of Nepal-India open border, Rajiv Jha, Central Chairman of Nepal-India Open Border Dialogue Group, said that because of the open border, devotees and saints get ease of movement and religious and cultural exchange has been helped. Aditya Jha, child campaigner of Cloth Bank Nepal, informed that the

program will be conducted from 10 am to 7 pm and the same service will be provided in Satoshar on Sunday, Aurhi and Haurasaha on Monday.
