A woman was injured in a leopard attack on Saturday evening. According to the police, a leopard attacked a field near Ratnapur, Gularia Municipality-10 while harvesting paddy.

Superintendent of Police Saroj Paudel said that 40-year-old Kiran Lodh of the same place was injured in the leopard attack. His nephew Raju Lodh reported that he was injured in the head and hand when the leopard attacked him while harvesting paddy. He said that four women from the village along with Lodh escaped after using a sickle when a leopard attacked them while harvesting paddy in the field. 

Injured Lodh has been brought to District Hospital, Gulria for treatment. Dr. Suresh Panth of District Hospital, Bardia said that the injured Lodha's condition is moderate.

The incident took place near the Nepal-India border. There is no forest on Nepal side. Indian territory consists of dense forests and reserves. Locals believe that the leopard came from the forests of India.

Just on Friday, while harvesting paddy in Barbardia municipality-10 Dafaiya, a tiger attacked, Juna Chaudhary of that place was seriously injured. The police said that he is being treated at the Teaching Hospital, Kohalpur due to serious injuries on his neck.
