After Santosh Kumar Pandey from the opposition party Democratic Samajwadi Party (LOSPA) will join the minister again, the internal dispute has increased in the party.

Lumbini State Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya on Sunday appointed LOSPA leader Pandey as youth and sports minister. Pandey is scheduled to take oath before the state chief at 3 o'clock on Monday. Pandey is becoming a minister for the fourth time in LOSPA, which has three members in the Lumbini state assembly. Earlier, in 2078 UML's Shankar Pokharel and in 2079 Maoist's Kul Prasad became Minister of Physical Infrastructure in the government led by KC and in 2080 in the government led by Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary of Congress, he became the Minister of Internal Affairs and Law . Now he is becoming the Minister of Sports .

Dissatisfaction has increased within the party saying that one person will become a minister many times and others will not get the opportunity from LOSPA which has three members . After Pandey was appointed as Minister, leaders and workers are expressing their dissatisfaction through social media.

LOSPA was in power in the Lumbini State Assembly until June 17, one day before the budget submitted by the State Government for the current year was passed. On the day of passing the budget on the 18th of June, the main opposition party Maoists and other parties in the opposition boycotted the budget and left the chairs empty in the provincial assembly meeting. After this, on the advice of UML and Congress, the main parties of the ruling party, Pandey, the leader of the LOSPA parliamentary party, sent a letter to the provincial assembly saying that the government had withdrawn its support and kept the party in the opposition. The budget of the government was passed by a majority after 3 members of LOSPA sat in the opposition with him.

LOSPA deputy leader Kanhaiya Baniyan has protested that the party sitting in the opposition did not even hold a meeting of the parliamentary party and returned to the government without even discussing it in the party. He has complained that the party is dominated by opportunism and personal tendencies. "The meeting of the parliamentary party has not even been held, the decision to support the government has not been made anywhere," he said, "The news of the appointment of a minister from the LOSPA comes in the media. Now we are starting to oppose it from the party itself.

LOSPA is still in opposition to the Lumbini state government and he said that the letter submitted by Santosh Pandey in the state assembly is not legal.

However, Pandey, who is also the leader of the parliamentary party, informed the state assembly secretariat on Sunday that LOSPA has decided to support the party led by Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya. He said that only after that he was appointed as Youth and Sports Minister by Chief Minister Acharya. In LOSPA, Pandey is the leader of the parliamentary party in the state assembly, the president of Lumbini state and the central office bearer in the central committee. Hema Belvase is another member from LOSPA in the state assembly. Belbase is also close to Pandey.

Jagarnath Sahni of Rupandehi, who is the district leader of LOSPA, has protested against the appointment of Pandey as a minister from LOSPA. He expressed his displeasure on the social network Facebook and claimed that it was wrong to stop Baniyan. "Fir 2084 election came, aa fir Kanhaiya Baniyan ai," he wrote, "Dekhal jata kabatak tu rokba".

With the addition of a minister from LOSPA to the government, the number of ministers in the Lumbini state assembly including the chief minister has reached 12 . Earlier, Congress had 5 and UML had 5 ministries including the Chief Minister . Among the two additional ministries, Jaspa has got the Minister of Internal Affairs and Law. LOSPA has been given the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
