Locals have expressed their happiness after the re-construction of the 16 km section from Narayan Chowk to Triveni in Bardghat municipality under the postal route in West Nawalparasi, which was abandoned for a long time, has started. Locals are expecting to get rid of dust and smoke when the construction work starts in that section, which has been idle for 6 years after the construction company did not work.

According to the contract, the construction of the road, which was supposed to be completed in November 2079, was delayed due to the delay of the contractor company. Locals became angry after the deadline was repeatedly extended but no work was done. Demanding the completion of the construction work, along with the local residents, the people's representatives of the district also protested. Representatives of the House of Representatives Vinod Chaudhary, Member of the Provincial Assembly Devkaran Prasad Kalwar and people's representatives of the local municipality from that area had put pressure on the hunger strike and relay fast. Commuters have to bear the agony after the main road around Triveni, the main religious tourist spot of the district, is stuck.  Umeshchandra Yadav, Chairman of Pratappur Rural Municipality, which falls under the road segment, said that he has repeatedly taken the initiative to complete the construction on time. "Under my leadership, we sat on hunger strike, we put pressure on the state and federal government through various means," he said, "Now the construction work has started." If it can be continued, there is a hope that it can be built within one year.'' The 16 km road section is the main road of Bardghat Municipality, Pratappur and Susta Rural Municipality. He said that once the construction is completed, one lakh locals as well as hundreds of religious tourists who frequent Triveni will benefit.

In November 2076, Bajraguru Mahalakshmi JV Company started the work by signing a contract for the construction of the road. After the company demolished the road and left, the locals had to endure dust in winter and mud in rain. Local residents said that accidents have also increased due to the large potholes on the road. Last time, according to the agreement of the construction company, Chandramani Adhikari, a construction businessman based in Bhairahawa, started the work to complete the construction within eight months. Engineer Pavitamani Acharya, Information Officer of the Planning Office under the Postal Highways Directorate informed that the contractor officer has started the work after internal agreement with Bajraguru Company. "Since breaking the contract and working through another process will cause further delay, the construction has been started by making an internal agreement between the contractor and the contractor to get payment from the firm of the old construction company," he said. According to the project, in the beginning, the contractor was delaying the work citing the economic recession after the corona epidemic. Along with this, the construction work was halted after the contractor company was blacklisted by the banking system. The contractor officer said that after the member of the House of Representatives Chaudhary facilitated the solution to the banking problem, he started the construction of the road by making an internal agreement with the contractor company and taking payment from the Bajraguru company. "The biggest problem was with the bank, the payment for my work would go to Bajraguru's account, but the bank would deduct all the money," he said, "MP Chaudhary helped us a lot in getting internal agreement and solving the bank's problem." After that, the work is going on.''

Geeta Pathak of Bardghat Municipality-14, Buddha Basti said that she was shocked by the dust and smoke when the road was not built for 6 years. "Those who took the initiative and started this work, they deserve thanks," she said. She said that when the road was closed for years, accidents increased, business was disrupted and the health of the locals was affected. Local Nandalal Chapagai said that it is a matter of shame that the road that was supposed to be built in three years has been stuck for six years. "Despite the people's representatives crying, the work did not go ahead for a long time", he said, "I heard that the contractor was blacklisted." Now the work has started again. Now, we demand that it should be completed within one year after continuous work.

The deadline of the postal section which is being constructed at a cost of 580 million has been extended for the fourth time. Last time, the deadline was set till the end of March 2082. According to Acharya, the information officer of the project, if the main contractor Bajraguru's banking problems are resolved, the contractor officer who is working according to the internal agreement as at now, said that the construction can be done within the extended period. So far, the physical progress of the road section is 40 percent and the financial progress is 38 percent. This road section is being constructed by widening 11 meters with drains in the market area and 8 meters without drains in other places.
