The International Nepali Literature Conference has been organized in the state of Colorado, USA. The International Nepali Society (ANESAS) has organized the ninth edition of the Nepali Literature Conference in Colorado.

The conference, organized from May 22 to 25, was inaugurated by Madan Puraskar winner Nawaraj Lamsal. The three-day conference featured important discussions on topics such as ‘Fiction in History and History in Fiction’ and ‘The Role of Diaspora Journalism in the Promotion of Nepali Language Literature’, and various literary figures, writers, and journalists discussed the issues of Nepali literature spreading in the Nepali diaspora. An interaction on the topic ‘The Role of Diaspora Journalism in the Promotion of Nepali Language Literature’ was also organized as part of the conference in collaboration with the Nepal American Journalists Association (NEJA).

Inaugurating the conference, Lamsal also claimed that the International Nepali Literature Society is an international parliament of Nepali-speaking writers. He said that Nepali literature would not be complete if it were to be separated from Nepali literature written outside the borders of Nepal. Lamsal said that the Nepali language and literature would be incomplete if it were to be separated from literature written by writers outside the borders of Nepal. Along with Lamsal, Madan Puraskar winner Dr. Neelam Karki Niharika, critic Mahesh Poudel and Rajan Acharya were honored at the conference.

Former editor-in-chief of Kantipur Daily Sudhir Sharma, editor-in-chief of Online Khabar Basanta Basnet, current president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Bipul Pokharel, journalists Tikaram Yatri, Babita Basnet, Narayan Shrestha, Yashoda Timsina participated as speakers in the conference chaired by ANESAS President Sarvagya Wagle.

The conference was attended by NRNA NCC America President Satendra Sah, senior Deuda singer Nanda Krishna Joshi, renowned English writer Dr. Jacqueline Kerbeck, Red O'Laughlin, Radheshyam Lekali, NEJA President Suraj Bhandari, and two hundred writers, writers, journalists, and representatives of organizations from Nepal, America, Europe, and other countries.
