The Hangyug Junita Foundation, established in Ilam, has awarded this year's 'Hangyug Junita National Award' to ghazal writer, poet and storyteller Sundar Kurup (Sundar Kumar Lawati). The first edition of the award was presented to Kurup on Friday at the fifth Ilam Literature Festival held in Ilam. The award carries a citation along with Rs 50,000.
