The book of philosophy 'Himaali Darshan' written by communist leader Mohan Baidya Kiran was reviewed in Bharatpur on Saturday. The epic poem 'Avishranta Avani' by Chitwan's veteran writer Ishwori Ojha was also reviewed at the same program.

The program was organized by the Chitwan branch of the All Nepal People's Cultural Federation. 'Himaali Darshan' was published in 2074 BS. Speaking about the book, reviewer Gopiraman Upadhyay said that the book tries to establish the belief that philosophers were born in the past and philosophy was born from the land within the current Nepali borders. 'Otherwise, such philosophies were said to have originated in the eastern or Indian subcontinent. Madanmani Dixit, going against this belief, had called it the Himalayan subcontinent. Himalayan philosophy also carries the same belief as Dixit,' Upadhyay said.

Program Hiramani Dukhi, central coordinator of the All Nepal People's Cultural Federation, said that Sanskrit literature should be studied well to understand the essence and meaning of 'Himaali Darshan' correctly and deeply. 'But in the past, we opposed the Sanskrit language. We should not do that. We should oppose the way in which Sanskrit language was used as a ritual rather than a source of knowledge,' Dukhi said.

Ravikiran Nirjeev reviewed the epic poem 'Avishranta Avani' by 86-year-old Chitwan-based writer Ojha. He said that the epic poem includes the story of a person who migrated from Tanahun as the hero and his struggle. 'The epic poem also includes migration, struggle and the people's war waged by the Maoists. Even though the epic poem was written with an ordinary farmer as the hero, the message it gives is profound,' he said.
