A conference of university professors from Nepal and India has begun in Kathmandu from Friday. The conference has started with the participation of professors who have done their PhD in Nepali language and literature from universities in Nepal and India.
The chief guest of the conference, Professor Vasudev Tripathi, inaugurated the three-day conference by presenting the conference emblem and conference books to 27 academics from Nepal and India. Professor Vasudev Tripathi did his PhD in Nepali language and literature in 2031 BS. This conference is being held under his academic leadership.
Vice Chancellor Indira Prasai said that the ‘Nepal-India University Professors Conference’ had to be organized by NAI to address the remaining aspects of the development and expansion of Nepali language and literature as well as some unresolved issues in higher education.
The conference will be attended by 13 Indian universities and colleges that will teach and research Nepali language and literature in higher education. Documents from six universities and six universities in Nepal will be presented. On the first day of the conference, the participating academics discussed their respective universities.
