The Japan National Committee of the Association of Nepali Origin (ANO) has been formed. The ANO Japan Committee has been formed under the chairmanship of writer Rabin Sharma. This committee aims to connect the intellectual, economic, and social capabilities of Nepalese people of Nepali origin around the world in a social, economic, and cultural way.

Inaugurating the Japan conference, the general secretary of the committee, Chudamani Bhattarai, claimed that ANO is needed to deepen the love for their motherland.

Similarly, senior artist Ramkrishna Bam Malla said that the motherland of Nepalis is naturally Nepal and that being connected to one's culture, tradition, language, and art, wherever one is, is an identity. He said, 'Not having any identity is a question of excess.'

The campaign to connect Nepalis around the world has been launched under the leadership of US-based social worker Dilli Adhikari. Surya Khadka, known as a foreign singer, has been elected as the vice-chairman of the committee, Uday Lama, an actor who has also acted in Japanese films, has been elected as the general secretary, Kamana Bhandari, a businessman and social activist, has been elected as the secretary, Madhu Chhetri, an engineer, has been elected as the treasurer, and KP Oli, a social activist, has been elected as the spokesperson. Similarly, Mahendra Neupane, Pratham Gurung, Ritu Thapa, Samudraraj Poudel, Sushant Bhattarai, Sagar Thapa, Kokisha Limbu, Jack Khadka, Gokarna Adhikari, Prem Balampaki, and Deepak Kandel have been elected as the members of the committee.

The convention also passed a resolution to draw the attention of the Nepali government to formulate a policy to connect Nepalis with Nepal.
