Assamese-born Bhojpuri singer Kalpana Patwari wowed her fans with the sweetness of her voice in Birgunj on Saturday. Her musical performance was scheduled to conclude the ongoing second Madhesh Mahotsav here.

Since the previous venue, the Old Bus Park, could not hold the program until Saturday morning due to technical reasons, the organizers had organized Kalpana's musical program at the festival venue.

The medium-sized campus of Madhesh University was packed with spectators and listeners who had come to see and listen to Kalpana. The successful singer of the Bhojpuri film industry, who came on stage at around 6:30 pm dressed in a black sari, performed on stage continuously for about two hours. She sang more than a dozen songs after receiving immense love and support from the audience. She started singing with her famous Chhath festival bhajan and folk song 'Ug Ug He Suruj Dev..' and then sang the famous song of Phagu 'Ae Siya Nikle Avadhava...'.

Then she sang 'Ae Balam Ji...', 'Relia Re...', 'Baba Dihle Tikwa...', 'Na Bhangiya Pisai...', 'Kaun Disha Mein Leke Chala Re Batohiya...', 'Dekhtani Mithi Mithi Muski Tu Mar Tar...' etc . Bringing her own musical team, she succeeded in harmonizing with the audience from the stage, and the audience also concentrated on listening to her songs .
