Teacher Kshetra Bahadur Budhathoki was awarded the Insight Model Teacher Award, student Prashikha Bhattarai was awarded the Insight Hand in Hand Award, and journalist Aarti Chataut was awarded the Insight Encouragement Journalism Award.

The Insight Award Distribution Committee has stated that the Insight Model Teacher Award was given to Kshetra Bahadur Budhathoki, a teacher at Laboratory Secondary School in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, based on the teacher's teaching-learning activities, social behavior, and thinking and attitude towards disability, based on the direct selection of the visually impaired student.

Similarly, the Insight Hand-in-Hand Award was given to Prasikha Bhattarai, a student studying in grade 8 of the same school, based on the supportive role, behavior, and exchange of learning shown by non-disabled students with their disabled peers, according to the committee.

It is stated that the Insight Encouragement Journalism Award was given to Aarti Chataut, a journalist working at Nepal Television, who promotes positive thinking and attitude towards people with disabilities through journalism and contributes to inclusive development and building an equitable society through research, exploration, and identification of their unlimited potential and opportunities.

The awards were presented at the Insight Award distribution ceremony organized at the premises of Laboratory Secondary School in Kathmandu, Kirtipur under the chief guestship of Kirtipur Municipality Mayor Krishnaman Dangol.
According to the Patron of the Insight Award Committee, Dr. Kamal Lamichhane, the awards were distributed in three categories: Insight Model Teacher Award, Insight Hand-in-Hand Award, and Insight Encouragement Journalism Award.
Teacher Kshetra Bahadur Budhathoki, who was awarded at the program, said that this award inspired him to work harder with a greater sense of responsibility for the educational development of visually impaired students. Similarly, Prashikha Bhattarai said that this award made her happy and that she would always continue to collaborate with her friends with visual disabilities.
Journalist Aarti Chataut expressed the view that this award is more of an honor for all disabled people than an individual achievement and that she is just a means to that end.
In his welcome address, the school's principal, Lakpa Sherpa, stated that he was inspired to pursue a PhD in inclusive education while working at this school and expressed his commitment to continuously improve the standards of students with visual disabilities.
Krishna Man Dangol expressed his belief that the Insight Award will help empower people with disabilities and inspire non-disabled people to work more responsibly on disability issues.
Highlighting the purpose of establishing the award, Homanath Aryal, coordinator of the Insight Award Committee, emphasized that instead of doubting the abilities of visually impaired students, teachers should be aware that no one should be left out in the learning process through equitable teaching methods and inclusive learning practices.
The amount of the Insight Model Teacher Award with certificate is 20 thousand, the Insight Hand in Hand Award is 10 thousand, and the Insight Encouragement Journalism Award is 15 thousand.
