This year's 'Govinda Biyogi Journalism Award-2082' will be presented to Jagat Nepal, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Ratna Rajya Lakshmi Campus.

Editors Society Nepal has decided to present the award, established in memory of founding president and senior journalist Govinda Biyogi, to the department head Nepal, informed the society's general secretary Shyam Dotel. The amount of the award is 25 thousand one rupees. 

Similarly, it has been decided to present the 'Govinda Biyogi Special Journalism Award' to journalist Chandani Hamal and columnist Rajendra Manandhar. Hamal, who works for Gorkhapatra Daily, has been continuously writing on the issues of environmental protection and mitigating the effects of climate change. 

General secretary Dotel said that it has been decided to present the award to Manandhar of 'Shukrawa: Ya Tansapau' weekly for his contribution to the field of journalism through Nepali language. The amount of the award is 15 thousand one rupees each.
