A book, 'Pushpalal's Selected Works', containing the thoughts of Pushpalal Shrestha, the founding general secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal, has been published.
Lipi Books has published a combo pack of five books, including four volumes of Shrestha's works and a brief history of the Nepal Communist Movement. Lipi Books Managing Director Arjun Adhikari recalled Pushpalal as an accomplished writer, philosopher and visionary politician and said that this book is like a historical document. He said that the book will be useful in understanding the historical background of the Nepal Communist Movement and the development of Nepali political thought and Pushpalal's ideology from the history of the communist movement.
These books have been compiled and edited by the Pushpalal Study Society. The society has stated that it has tried to document Pushpalal's ideological contribution by systematically presenting his articles, documents and historical materials from various periods.
Born on 15 Asar 1981 BS in Bhangeri, Ramechhap, Pushpalal passed away at the age of 54 on 7 Shrawan 2035 at Govinda Ballabh Pant Hospital in New Delhi, India. Pushpalal was involved in party building by adopting the policy of three 'S' - principles, organization, and struggle.
