The story titled 'Ek Mantha Ek Deuta' written by Shivraj Shahi has won the best story in the 'DishHome 7th Annual Story Competition, 2082'.

Storyteller Shahi has received a cash prize of two lakh rupees.

Prime Minister Sushila Karki honored the winning storytellers with cash, trophies and other awards at the best story announcement ceremony organized by Bahrakhari Media in Kathmandu on Thursday.

The story titled ‘Bhuinkuhiroko Bhakta’ written by Ritesh Gurung has come second in the competition. The story titled ‘Adhuro Kapili’ written by Indra Prasad Gotame (Jagatjung) has come third.

In addition, Ritesh, who came second, was honored with 1 lakh rupees and Gotame, who came third, was honored with 60 thousand rupees and a trophy.

The remaining 22 storytellers published in the collection have been awarded 7 thousand rupees each.
