The main tourist attraction of Palpa is the Ranimahal, a symbol of love. This Ranimahal was built by the then General Khadgashamsher in memory of his queen Tejkumari. The facts of the Ranimahal have been revealed by the writer Pushkar Athak Regmi in his novel 'Amaramrut'.

The novel was launched in Tansen by Khadga Shamsher's great-grandson and Chairman of Khadga Shamsher Foundation, Kathmandu, Ajay Shamsher Jabra.

He said that novelist Regmi's writing emotionally connected him to the history of Palpa and the Queen's Palace. 'I felt that the novel 'Amaramrut' has not only brought to life the life of Khadga Shamsher, but also the historical consciousness of Palpa,' he said. 'Such works will also contribute to tourism and preservation of history.'

Novelist Regmi, who has been making a strong presence in contemporary Nepali historical fiction, said, 'This novel has been written based on historical facts.' Khadga Shamsher was appointed as the Badahakim of Palpa in BS 1946 and was reinstated. In BS 1950, he built a magnificent Queen's Palace on the banks of the Kaligandaki River in memory of his wife Tejkumari.' The locals have been calling that bank Ranighat. Which is called the Taj Mahal of Nepal. 

The Ranimahal saga is now in the novel 'Amaramrut' Regmi's work 'Amaramrut' mentions that Khadga Shamsher made a long-term contribution by staying in Palpa for a short time. The participants felt that further study on Khadga Shamsher is needed. Rajendra Gopal Singh, patron of Palpa Literature Society, said that it is based on the life of Khadga Shamsher Jabra, an influential character in Nepal's history and the creator of the Ranimahal. 'The novel has exposed the deep interrelationship of history, love, power and time through literary narrative,' he said.

Archana Shakya, associate professor at Tribhuvan Multiple Campus, Palpa, said that writer Regmi has presented a powerful narrative for contemporary readers by combining historical facts with an imaginative style. The program organized by Palpa Literature Society was attended by Madhukar Shamsher Jabra, General Jaswant Shamsher Jabra and Panatini's daughter-in-law Sudha Kumari Rana. 

Presenting the review, writer Bhagwat Khanal said that Regmi's writing style, historical research and narrative structure have brought the facts to light. He said that the novel presents the contemporary history and the life journey of Khadga Shamsher through 26 chapters.

In the program, litterateurs and writers Sitaram Ghimire, Ramji Dhungana, Mukti Prasad Neupane, Padamprasad Neupane, Meghraj Sharma, Chitrawali Ram Suwal, Savita Bhattarai and others said that everyone's efforts are necessary to keep the Ranimahal beautiful and alive through Regmi's work about Khadga Shamsher. Gopal Poudel is the publisher of Athak's work 'Amaramrut'. The price of the 336-page work is Rs. 855.
