Madhav Timilsina has won first place in a news reading competition organized by Community Radio Narayani FM, Birgunj. Timilsina won first place, Laxmi Kharel won second place, and Suryanarayan BK won third place in the competition organized to mark the 20th anniversary of the radio.

Similarly, Suresh Bidari, Bimala Gupta and Arju Devkota won consolation prizes, said Shivnath Yadav, Managing Director of Radio Narayani FM.

  Timilsina received Rs 20,000,  Kharel received Rs 15,000,  BK received Rs 10,000 and a certificate. Similarly, those who won consolation prizes received Rs 5,000 and a certificate. 

Similarly, participants in the competition, Amarpreet Kaur of Birgunj Public College, Farida Khatun of Birgunj College and Prarthana Adhikari of Gyanada Academy, were given Rs 1,500 each and a certificate as an incentive.  28 students and 14 active journalists participated in the competition. 

Timalsina wins first place in news reading competition The competition was evaluated by Laxman Karki, Pratima Chaudhary and Santosh Deuja. Judge Karki said that such competitions attract the new generation towards the profession of journalism and encourage those who are currently working. 

According to Radio Narayani FM Chairman Govinda Devkota, the competition was organized with the aim of increasing the new generation's attraction to radio and encouraging radio journalists involved in news reporting.
