Bahrakhari Media has informed that the best three stories in the competition will be awarded cash prizes of Rs 200,000, Rs 100,000 and Rs 60,000 respectively from this year onwards along with certificates.
Bahrakhari Media has announced the new edition of the story competition, 'DishHome 7th Bahrakhari Story Competition, 2082', which is organized every year.
Bahrakhari Media has called for stories along with the announcement of the competition at a press conference held at Hotel Marriott in Naxal. This year, the prize money has also been increased compared to previous years. The best three stories in the competition will be awarded with cash prizes of two lakh, one lakh and 60 thousand rupees respectively from this year. The remaining 22 storytellers to be published in the
collection will be awarded seven thousand rupees each as an honorarium. ‘In this story competition, which has the largest prize money in Nepal’s story writing competition, all the contestants will have to send their stories by emailing 12Kharibooks@gmail.com by Kartik 30,’ the press release states. The jury of the competition includes artist Ashesh Malla. The members of the
jury include storyteller Manju Kanchuli and storyteller Abhay Shrestha. The best 25 stories will be published in the collection 'Utkrishta Katha, 2082'.
