Madan Award Guthi has awarded Jagdambashree Samman and Madan Award for the year 2081. Madan Award Guthi presented Jagdamba-Shri Samman to Premdev Giri, the compiler and patron of Nepali folklore, and Madan Award to Chuden Kavimo, the writer of 'Urmaal', on Sunday in a program organized at Kamalmani Theater in Patan, Lalitpur.

Honored and awarded authors were awarded four lakh rupees each with certificates. In the program, cultural expert Prof. Dr. Veena Paudyal gave a scholarly lecture on 'Art, Icon and Conservation'. He says that since archeology reveals the past of man with evidence, it is everyone's responsibility to preserve it. In the

program, Kavimo, the author of 'Urmaal', said that love and literature have no boundaries. "Literature always relates to the deprived, exploited and human subjects. I am motivated to keep writing all the time to save the person inside that person," he said. Kavimo is a writer of Indian origin.

Giri, the composer and patron of folklore, started his theatrical journey from the year 2025. From 2043 to 2045, he also narrated the experience of collecting folk songs and folk songs from the remote villages of Karnali-Bheri while giving the rhythm of Madal in Radio Nepal.
