Two books of Indra Bahadur Rai and Mohanraj Sharma, the heritage duo of Nepali literature, have been reprinted in the market. Rai's story-book 'Vipna Sakha' and Mohanraj Sharma's 2042 Madan award-winning play 'Vaikunth Express' have been brought to the market by Imprint Publishers.

'Vaikunth Express' is the only drama book to have received the Madan award so far. "Vaikunth Express, a play structured in expressive experimental craft, is a masterpiece of playwright Mohanraj Sharma," says storyteller, playwright, editor Avinash Shrestha, "but it is ironic that Nepali artists have not seen this play and such a powerful play has not been staged even once." '

' The stories in Indra Bahadur Rai's collection of stories 'Vipna Kakhi', published for the first time in 1960, are written in an experimental style outside the traditional and formulaic Nepali story tradition. In 'Vipana Sakha', 23 stories including 'Raatbari Huri Chalyo', 'Jar: Bekai Ekta Katha', 'Jaymaya Tupamatra Lekhapani Aipugi', 'Peon' have been collected.

The Nepali society and culture of 6 decades ago can be seen in the undiscovered 'markets' in the Nepali market. Storyteller Rai writes on 'Some Vipanas', 'The stories of the Nepalese people who spent their old years in Kaman, who lived in Rathane towards Calcutta, who are now about to enter Nepal... In this way, some of the Vipanas have been collected here, but many of the Vipanas that I wanted to write remained outside.'
