Poet Navraj Lamsal's new epic Kalpa has been released. This is his fourth epic. Lamsal Agni, who set the standard for Nepali epic writing, is a 2078 Madan Award winning poet. His epic poem was released during a ceremony held at Nepal Pragya Pratishthan.
Former Ministers and MPs Gagan Thapa, Vidya Bhattarai, Sudan Kiranti, Member of Parliament Manish Jha, critic Rajkumar Baniyan and the author himself jointly published the idea. This epic of Lamsal, who had previously published three epics Karna, Dhara and Agni, was watched with anticipation. Lamsal, who is active in writing after leaving his job at Radio Nepal to write a
epic, has said that his brain has been squeezed by this epic. Lamsal is considered to be comparatively studious and deeply knowledgeable of Eastern philosophy among contemporary writers. It is considered to be his epic epic full of global consciousness. He is known to have led the renaissance era of Nepali epics.
At the release ceremony, former minister and MP Gagan Thapa, who is also the general minister of the Congress, said that Navraj Lamsal's competition was only with Navraj Lamsal. He said that the movement of Lamsal 2062 was the central literary figure since then. Even though he does not carry the flag of any party, he said that Lamsal has no less political consciousness than the leader of any political party, and because of that consciousness, his poetry should be read by high-level, ideological and political leaders as well.
UML leader, former minister and MP Vidya Bhattarai said, 'I found Navraj Lamsal's ideological ground very deep. After reading Kalpa, I found the world view of the poet very good.' Another guest of the
program, former minister and MP Sudan Kirati, leader of the Maoist center, said, 'Lamsal is a deep writer of the cultural image and identity of tribal women and Madheshi, a marginalized caste.'
National Independent Party Member of Parliament Manish Jha Lamsal said that he united the country by giving the language of poetry to the speech of the people who could not keep their voice.
